I spent my summer 2018 working out of small-town Hartington, Nebraska to cover events from tea parties to baseball to county fairs. I also traveled all over Northeast Nebraska in my coverage of its ranging events. Not only did I take photos, I also wrote several stories including two columns on my time in Northeast Nebraska. This internship truly solidfied my desire to do photojournalism for the rest of my life. One moment in particular that stands out to me was when I was stopped during the Randolph Community Fair by a man (See Randolph Community Fair Photo 1) who said, "The paper has been much more interesting to read because of your photos." This made me realize how much my work really affects the people that read those newspapers. Overall, my time in Northeast Nebraska was definitely something I will never forget.
